Gregory A. Kompes is a writer, teacher, and manuscript consultant with a BA in English Literature from Columbia University, NY. He also holds a Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning and an MS Ed with an emphasis in Online Teaching and Learning from California State University, East Bay.

The author has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Far East. His love of travel stems from a decade of performing and touring more than 300 cities as a professional theater musician during the 80s and 90s. While no longer performing, Gregory still travels the United States, Canada, and Europe frequently. A natural curiosity in all things cultural (and gay) leads him through museums, restaurants, bars, theaters, concert halls, neighborhoods, and gay ghettos around the world.

Gregory is the editor of The Fabulist Flash, a newsletter providing information and inspiration to writers, and the Distance Learning site at BellaOnline. He’s a monthly columnist for Writers on the Rise and his articles have been published on- and off-line, including pieces on gay marriage, gay activism and gay life, Las Vegas entertainment, travel, writing, professional speaking, goal setting, Christmas trees, and using the Internet as a research and promotion tool.  Gregory’s photographs have been published nationally, most recently in Nevada Magazine, and are also featured on his own line of Art Cards and Gifts.

Gregory is the author of the #1 bestseller 50 Fabulous Gay-Friendly Places to Live, The Everyday Gay Activist, Endorsement Quest, Should You Write an Ebook? and Your Online Media Kit. The author is also included in Chopped Liver for the Gentle Spirit, Chopped Liver for the Kindred Spirit, The Complete Writer's Journal and Writer's Bloc and edits the Queer Collection series and the Patchwork Path series.

Gregory lives in Las Vegas, NV, with his domestic partner and their collection of pets.
